Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how lofistudio, Inc. (“lofistudio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use lofi (the “Service”). It applies to information you give us, information we collect automatically when you use the Service, and information we receive from third parties such as authentication providers.

1. Scope
This Policy covers our website, the lofi web application, and any related services we provide. It does not apply to third-party services we link to or integrate with, which are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication credential (a password you choose, or, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information that Google returns).
- Workspace content. Designs, frames, comments, prompts, uploaded files, and other content you create or upload.
- Communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of the message and any attachments.
- Payment information. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor collects payment details. We receive limited, non-sensitive transactional information such as the last four digits of your card and billing country.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Pages viewed, features used, click events, errors, performance metrics, and timestamps.
- Device and connection data. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, language, referrer URL.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See Cookies and analytics below.
Information from third parties
- Authentication providers. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and prevent abuse.
- Generate AI output you request, by sending prompts and relevant workspace context to our AI providers.
- Communicate with you about your account, security alerts, service updates, and (where you opt in) product news.
- Monitor performance, debug, and conduct research and analytics to improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI providers and your prompts
Generation features in lofi are powered by third-party AI providers, including Anthropic. When you use those features, the relevant prompts and context are sent to the provider in order to generate output. We do not use customer prompts or content to train our own models. AI providers may temporarily process content in line with their own policies; please review their privacy practices for details.
5. How we share information
We share information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us run the Service (hosting, database, email, error monitoring, analytics, payment processing, AI providers). They are bound by confidentiality and only process data to perform services for us.
- Collaborators. If you share a workspace or invite collaborators, content you make available to them is visible to them.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, and analytics. Strictly necessary cookies are required to operate the Service. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns.
7. Data retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law, for billing records, or to resolve disputes. Backups containing your data may persist for a limited time before being overwritten.
8. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@studiolofi.com. You can also:
- Update your account information from your workspace settings.
- Delete content from your workspace, or delete your account to remove your workspace.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails.
We will respond to verifiable requests within the period required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California you have additional rights under local law, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and may process information in the U.S. and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers of personal information.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product notice) before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you when the Policy was last revised.
